Saudi Arabia free of poliomyelitis
The WHO EMRO decided to award the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia a certificate of being free from polio for the last ten years due the great efforts exerted by MOH and the very successful immunization programme. A joint WHO/MOH cermoney will be held on the third of March 2007 for this purpose under the patronage of H. E. Dr Hamad Bin Abdul Allah Almanae the Saudi minister of Health and presence of H.E. Dr Hussein Abdul Al Razag AlGezairy , the Regional Director of World Health Organization for Eastern Mediterranean Region, E.Ministers, MOH Officials , Head of UN Agencies and Diplomatic Mission designated to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This award will encourage other countries in the region to do better towards polio eradication in the world and the region in particular |
